Motherhood
Wow,
No one prepares you, or can prepare you, for motherhood. I never planned or wanted to become a Mum, until I found myself pregnant and realised straight away that I already felt this burning passion to protect the life inside of me.
I know I know it sound cliche and you probably think shut up you wet fart, but it is true.
I went through an easy enough pregnancy and didn’t find myself too nervous or worried until my due date appeared, and when it did I became naturally anxious. After a traumatic birth (one that lasted 3 days I will add) my little baby boy was safely into the world and my journey of becoming a Mama had started.
I was unprepared, even though I’d spent my whole pregnancy buying nursery items, clothes, bottles; and reading countless Mum articles it wasn’t enough to get you ready for when you leave the hospital and are in charge of this tiny gorgeous human, who solely relies on you.
But I did it, as I am sure many of you did it too, even on the darkest days when you felt exhausted, hungry, emotional and every other overwhelming feeling, we got through it.
My son is now 14 months and it’s been a hard time I cant pretend otherwise but the most important thing that came out of the whole experience of beginning Motherhood was my darling little boy. And finding my true purpose in life.
